Kindly note IDEA Yacht itself has no type approval. Simply because the re-approval process that would be required when we update the software, which we do at least 4 times per year, would make this a very costly process. Which in the end would result in higher costs for the user.

However there are many vessels out there with (individually) approved systems. We have spoken to class about this. And ultimately what they need to see and will approve is not the software itself but the system setup. For example if all critical equipment has been entered into the database, all related maintenance tasks are programmed, etc.

So in the end it comes down to a vessel specific survey and approval.
