Release 2026.4.1 brings CLIVE AI into beta, our assistant for finding information, preparing stock changes and producing clearer reports, with the person responsible always confirming before anything changes. During the beta, Clive is installed only on the selected vessels taking part in the programme. Alongside it, IDEA YACHT connects maintenance and purchasing more closely, the mobile app gains a more capable onboard toolkit, and IDEA FLEET gives shore-side teams a clearer path from fleet overview to vessel detail.
As ever, the aim is clarity for crews, managers and owners across maintenance, safety, inventory, compliance and finance. Here are the highlights.

Ask about vessel stock, search documents, generate reports and confirm changes inside the conversation. Installed on beta vessels only.

CLIVE AI Beta
CLIVE AI moves from conversational assistance to practical workflows that stay under the user’s control. Crew can ask about vessel stock, find the right document and produce clear outputs, and any proposed change is reviewed and confirmed in the conversation before it is applied.
CLIVE AI is not part of the standard 2026.4.1 update. During the beta it is installed only on the selected vessels taking part in the programme, so if your vessel is not in the beta, you won’t see Clive after updating.
Ask about vessel stock
Get help with stock history, storage locations, part details and purchase orders. Clive can propose a single stock adjustment, or process a whole stock sheet as one change, for you to review and confirm.
Find and read documents
Permission-aware search locates and reads IDEA documents, including PDFs, and gives answers with document and page references. Searches always respect each user’s access rights.
Reusable skills and PDF reports
A personal Skill Market and role-based sharing make useful skills easy to find. Clive can create PDF reports, with report skills covering low stock, crew passport expiry and overdue critical maintenance.
Works around your day
Minimisable, non-blocking dialogs let you keep working in IDEA. Drop or paste files into chat, copy messages, reposition the window and pick up past conversations easily.
Beta programme only. CLIVE AI is currently installed only for the vessels taking part in the beta. Access also depends on your licence and on supported client and server versions. Contact your account manager if you would like to know more about the beta.
IDEA YACHT
On board, this release connects purchasing to the work it supports, brings procedures closer to the job and speeds up the tasks crews repeat every day.
Connected purchase orders
One purchase order can now cover several periodic and one-time maintenance tasks, so it’s clear which purchases support planned work. Links are visible from both the order and the task.
A renewed SOP workspace
Categories, favourites, step editing and ordering, with multiple images, highlights and remarks. Procedures link to related records, so they sit closer to the work.
Faster everyday workflows
Quicker snag creation, including during rounds; change status from the overview and create maintenance tasks from a snag. Inventory keeps you in your storage context and can transfer a whole storage area.
Better control
Budget filters, budget-code spending reports and a Smart Budget overview. Hour-counter offsets and coloured reading ranges highlight values that need attention.
The workspace also adapts to each user, with configurable and resizable table columns, font-size controls, per-user menu choices and background saving for forms.
IDEA YACHT Mobile
The mobile app becomes a more capable onboard companion, with simpler field workflows, clearer work-and-rest tracking and Clive available where the work happens.
Clearer work-and-rest recording
A landscape timeline with 48 time slots for entering hours. Template hours are shown and rest-hour violations appear in the calendar, so days needing review stand out.
Less friction, more context
Job descriptions stay visible during tasks, snag custom fields come to mobile, and the modernised SOP viewer and hour-counter offsets are supported. Detail screens adapt to the available space.
Clive on mobile
On beta vessels, ask Clive from any screen, attach files, follow links to records and confirm structured actions, such as stock changes, with native in-chat forms.
More dependable sync
The app checks the server can be reached before syncing and warns clearly if not. Support tickets can now include pictures, files and an optional local database.
A new in-app What’s New view also helps users discover the latest changes.
IDEA FLEET
For shore-side teams, IDEA FLEET gives stronger oversight, with a clearer fleet overview, a broader purchasing workspace and finance information that is consistent across vessels.
New Fleet dashboard
Sitting alongside the Technical dashboard, vessel cards show imagery and particulars and open straight into each vessel’s dashboard.
A fuller purchase-order workspace
Overview and detail views for orders, deliveries, invoices, documents, Direct Orders and stock history, with direct-order and offer status at a glance.
Aligned across vessels
Fleet Finance now brings payment types, invoices, approval states and budgets closer to IDEA YACHT Finance, with synchronised transactions and multi-currency purchase-order totals.
Sharper search and filters
Global search covers manufacturer part numbers and names, and new purchasing filters and state counters show the scope of every view.
Quality and reliability
This release also includes a wide range of fixes, grouped here by what they mean for your team.
- Finance and purchasing: budget visibility restored after edits, and purchase-order approval cannot be bypassed.
- Maintenance and stock: bulk task approval no longer creates negative stock, and task-history imports validate location.
- Reporting: maintenance history includes attached pictures, and component-list and inventory reports are more reliable.
- Access and security: password changes now verify the existing password, with stronger permission safeguards.
