IDEA Release 2026.3 – Delivering Clarity and Consistency Across Every Workflow

IDEA Release 2026.3.1 delivers a broad set of improvements across the platform, focused on improving usability, consistency, and operational clarity across vessel and fleet environments. This update introduces the rollout of a unified Markdown editing experience, enhanced mobile capabilities, new fleet-level insights, and a refreshed interface across key workflows.

1. IDEA YACHT: Unified Markdown Editing Across Workflows

A new Markdown/WYSIWYG editor has been rolled out across Maintenance, SOP, and Task Approval workflows, providing a more consistent way to capture and manage operational data. Content entered in Web is now correctly synchronised across Mobile and reports, improving clarity and reducing formatting inconsistencies.

2. IDEA YACHT Mobile: Flexible Multi-Instance Workflows

The mobile app now supports multiple paired IDEA YACHT instances, allowing users to switch seamlessly between environments.
This is particularly valuable for:

  • Rotational crew working across multiple vessels
  • Management teams overseeing several yachts simultaneously
  • Active shipyard periods, where crews and project teams need access to multiple systems during refit or build phases

Alongside this, improvements to synchronisation, performance, and data integrity deliver a more stable and responsive mobile experience in real-world operational scenarios.

3. IDEA FLEET: New Navigation and Vessel Insights

IDEA FLEET introduces a redesigned navigation structure with nested menus, improving usability across complex fleet environments.
New Vessel KPIs provide clearer visibility into maintenance status, work orders, and operational activity across vessels, enabling faster decision-making and more consistent oversight.

4. Reporting & UI/UX: Improved Visibility and Consistency

The Reports module has been modernised with a more intuitive interface, refined filters, and a streamlined workflow. This forms part of a broader UI/UX refresh across the platform, aligning visual elements and behaviour to deliver a more consistent user experience.

5. Crew Board App: Improved Emergency and Operational Handling

Enhancements to the Crew Board App introduce an Evacuation Mode with offline access to critical muster data, ensuring key information remains available in emergency situations. Additional updates improve registration workflows and visibility of system status.

6. Additional Enhancements

This release also includes improvements across multiple operational areas:
  • Inventory and stock control enhancements, including filtering and export reliability improvements
  • Purchasing workflow updates, including improved notifications and vendor handling
  • Vessel database improvements for clearer storage visibility and navigation
  • Crew and certificate management enhancements, including automated reminders
  • Excel import improvements with stronger validation and consistency
  • Bug fixes across Mobile, Reporting, Maintenance, and other modules
