As the countdown to METSTRADE 2026 continues, we’re introducing each of the partners joining us on the IDEA Universe stand in the Superyacht Zone. Next up is Spectro | Jet-Care, the condition monitoring specialists celebrating 50 years in 2026, whose laboratory results already flow straight into IDEA YACHT.
The IDEA Universe is built on a simple belief: no single solution works in isolation. Modern yacht operations depend on a connected ecosystem of software, hardware, supply and services, and our 42m² stand at RAI Amsterdam brings that ecosystem together under one roof to mark 25 years of IDEA. Alongside Dock 07, EMS Yachting, YOT and Panoblu, Spectro | Jet-Care completes a line-up that covers the whole vessel, from the bridge to the engine room.
Who are Spectro | Jet-Care?
Founded by David Glass in 1976, Spectro | Jet-Care provides condition monitoring through the analysis of oils, hydraulic fluids, fuels, coolants, debris and filters for the marine, aviation and industrial sectors. Its ISO 17025 accredited laboratories in the United Kingdom, the United States and Switzerland serve customers in more than 140 countries.
In marine, the company has a particularly strong reputation with superyachts, offshore support vessels and cruise ships, supporting the reliability of propulsion and auxiliary machinery. It also works closely with major manufacturers of propulsion, azimuth-drive, shaft-line, gearbox and stabiliser equipment.
Every fluid on board
Lubricating oils, hydraulic fluids, greases and fuels, analysed to keep machinery running efficiently and safely.
Wear found early
Analysis detects accelerated wear in engines and machinery before symptoms appear, helping crews avoid failures and costly disruption.
Three ISO 17025 labs
Laboratories in the UK, the US and Switzerland, supporting customers in more than 140 countries.
Lab results, straight into IDEA YACHT
Spectro | Jet-Care and IDEA have worked together since the launch of integrated analysis reporting in IDEA YACHT 2021.4. Instead of chasing paperwork, engineers manage the whole sampling cycle from the Lab page in the Maintenance section, with every sample linked to the component it came from.
Log the sample
Choose the component and one of five sample types, add the sample label number and the request is tracked as Pending.
Report on file
When the analysis is complete, the Spectro | Jet-Care report is attached to the request, ready to view or download.
Recommendation to task
If the lab recommends action, such as a resample in 60 days, one click creates a one-time task with the due date already set.
The result is a complete fluid analysis history for every component, kept alongside the maintenance records it informs, and a solid foundation for condition-based maintenance.
