Purser

The purser on board a yacht is responsible for the financial management and administration of the vessel under the captain’s direction including HR and payroll. This role may also direct the overall management of the interior department depending on the size and needs of the vessel.

The purser takes a vital part in controlling expenditures and coordinating the delivery of supplies to the boat. To ensure a high standard for these processes all purchases, and costs must be tracked and reported.
